Vanessa Collier is a multi-award-winning American blues- funk- and soul saxophonist and singer. This year, she has been nominated for three Blues Music Awards for Best Saxophonist, Best Contemporary Female Blues Artist, and Best Contemporary Blues Album. Anthony Gomes
In 2019, we heard him at the Åmål Bluesfest, and now he's back. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he fell in love with music as a child, listening to everything from Muddy Waters to Eddie Van Halen. At the age of 14, he began playing the guitar himself. With a blues soul and a rock 'n' roll heart, he effortlessly transitions between the two genres with a modern approach.

Adama Janlo
From Norway comes the rising starAdama Janlo.With her powerful voice, she moves within blues, gospel, and neosoul.
In 2024, she was awarded the Young Artist Scholarship by the Norwegian Blues Union.
JT Lauritsen & The Buckshot Hunters
From the neighboring country of Norway comes the 30th-anniversary celebration of JT Lauritsen & The Buckshot Hunters.
JT is renowned for his singing voice, harmonica skills, and notably, his accordion playing - perhaps a somewhat surprising instrument in a blues context.
Heading to Åmål, they arrive as an 8-piece band with a brass section. Don't miss the opportunity to celebrate their anniversary with them!
Marius Lien
Marius Lien has made a name for himself in the Norwegian blues world and is considered by many to be part of the elite of Norwegian blues musicians. At 24 years old, he has already received awards, performed multiple times on national television, and won a Norwegian Grammy in 2024 for his debut album.

The DownShifters
DownShifters is a two-man trio that plays blues and roots music. With guitar, banjo, harmonica, bass, and foot drums, they perform original songs inspired by the old American music traditions – from acoustic/electric delta blues to banjo-based old-time music. The duo is made up of the Bjerre brothers.

Tove Gustavsson Band

Anton Hultquist TRIO
The Anton Hultquist TRIO is a new young band that was formed in 2022. Drawing inspiration from the early blues, the trio tours around Sweden with a lively and dynamic repertoire.
In 2024, the band won the Swedish Blues Challenge and will be representing Sweden in the European Blues Challenge in the spring of 2025.
The Lowdown Saints
For the third year in a row, The Lowdown Saints will be hosting a jam at the Åmål Bluesfest. A group of seasoned musicians from the capital.
Paul & The Aces
Paul Alfredsson has been playing in blues bands since the mid-80s. In 1998, he was one of the founding members of Paul & The Blue Delivery. They performed for 15 years, including multiple appearances at the Åmål Blues Festival. Now, he is back with us with Paul & The Aces, joined by Conny Aidenpää on guitar, Stefan Lindell on double bass, and Tomas Lingman on drums.
